Marin Acupuncture Clinic is the holistic Chinese medicine practice of Lindsey Koelman, licensed acupuncturist, clinical herbalist, and medical qigong instructor. Lindsey is a seasoned practitioner (17 years of clinical practice) and known for her comforting bedside manner, painless needling, and thorough treatment protocols. She has been nominated several years in a row as “Best Acupuncturist” in Marin for her work in women’s health, specifically fertility and prenatal care. Lindsey herself overcame PCOS and infertility using Chinese medicine. She has two healthy children, one of which she delivered at age 40. Chinese medicine is particularly advanced in gynecology and reproductive endocrinology, and Lindsey feels blessed to be able to offer high quality and effective alternatives to standard Western medical care. Lindsey also enjoys giving acupuncture support to couples going through assisted reproductive technology procedures, such as IUI and IVF, to increase success rates. She partners with many Bay Area REs and IVF clinics. In addition to her private practice, Lindsey is an on-call acupuncturist at several fertility clinics, teaches Qigong (a form of movement meditation) classes in various retreats, schools, and recovery centers in the Bay Area, and is a consultant for a famous tea company, advising them on herbal blends. Lindsey is also an active member of the Norcal Fertility Group and is one of two Bay Area practitioners certified by the Fertile Soul Institute (an elite training program for fertility professionals, led by Dr. Randine Lewis, author of The Infertility Cure). Prior to having her daughter in 2014, Lindsey was the head Qigong instructor at Bayside Marin Recovery Program and an assistant professor at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley. Lindsey accepts many PPO insurance plans and offers free 10-minute phone consultations to determine if she’s the best fit for your case.
